Stereoview of the Dead on Culp’s Hill, Gettysburg
Offered is an inexpensive example of a stereoview that we have seen sell for $500+. This stereoview is on a yellow mount and in period ink at the bottom is written “Dead on Culp’s Hill”. At some point, this stereoview separated at the center. It has been archivally glued back together and displays fine. On the reverse is a stamp from the early Danner’s Museum in Gettysburg. Someone has written the description “Confederate soldier’s – Photo taken after the Union soldier’s buried (According to Frassanito’s book: Gettysburg, A Journey in Time)”.
