CDV of Major General Abner Doubleday – Scarce View of Him – Commanded the 3rd Division, 1st Corps at Gettysburg

Doubleday’s fame began at Fort Sumter and was prominent at Gettysburg. This is a rather scarce view, not in General’s in Blue. Backmark is J. W. Evertt & Co., New York. This one came out of an album, so minor corners trimmed. One small stain, otherwise very fine. A nice one.
