Original Art from the Album of Livingston T. Perrine who Served in Co. F of the 89th Regt., Ohio Vol. Infantry
Livingston T. Perrine enlisted in August of 1862 into company F of the 89th Ohio Volunteer Infantry and was with them until mustered out in June of 1865. The 89th was hard hit at the battle of Chickamauga, Georgia and the entire regiment was captured and its men taken to Andersonville where a majority of them died of starvation and exposure. Fortunately, Perrine was one of the survivors. A very colorful drawing showing their Corps badge.
