Early (1861) Confederate Patriotic “Southern Rights” Card from Maryland – Red, White & Blue 7-Star Confederate Flag with “Maryland expects every man to do his duty, don’t tread on us.”

 

This 2 x 3 ¼ inch card was probably handed out in April of 1861 in Baltimore, Maryland.  We have seen this same style card in poor condition sell in the $400-500 range.  Our example is in fine condition and its colors are unfaded.
