Highly Desirable Civil War Cavalry Captain’s Shoulder Straps – The Real Deal, Not Later Indian War Period Straps

These Smith patent false embroidered brass single border and complementary metal rank devices have a mellow golden yellow velvet field.  The straps measure approximately 1.25 x 3.5 inches, slightly smaller than the usual size or what is called “short jacket” rather than “long coat” size.  The dark-blue wool underlay is undamaged.  A beautiful set in with only minor wear. Near excellent condition and extremely hard to find.
