Genl. F. Sigel with the kindest regards of his faithful friend February 17th, 1863. Col. Di Cesnola”

The CDV has a “J. CURNEY & SON. 707 BROADWAY, N.Y.” backmark. The CDV shows Di Cesnola standing holding his sword and the sword insignia with “4” is clearly seen on his hat.
