A Great WWII Photo of VE Day Somewhere in France – Can you help identify the city?

An Ashland, Ohio soldier had this photo in his estate. It measures 7 x 9 ½ inches and is in fine condition… an original not a copy. It would be fun to know what city it was taken in. Note that there was no “social distancing”!
